Cell Cultures Supplied and QC’d from Your Computer

scientists looking at cell cultures

If you have grown cells or used cells in your research, you know the problems associated growing them and in ensuring that they generate reproducible data. After obtaining or engineering a cell line, master and working banks must be produced. Supplies must be ordered. Technicians must spend hours under the hood. Sterility must be maintained. Cell cultures must be split and fed over and over again. Repeated cell counts and viability measures must be done. Cells must be harvested and aliquoted. The cultures must not contain any Mycoplasma contamination. Cell line IDs should be verified, etc.

Imagine if you could go online, enter the number of cells you need, how you would like them QC’d, and receive back the cells along with a detailed report on how they were grown including viability, cell counts, and Mycoplasma data. Wouldn’t that be ideal rather than having your laboratory staff’s time and resources spent doing all of this?

This is not some futuristic vision. Just as we have learned that it’s not necessary to be in the office to be productive, cell culture services do not need to be performed in your laboratories. Scientists can focus on more high impact tasks.

For over 30 years, ABS has supplied cells and cell data to our clients. We continually strive to make that process easier, faster, and more reliable than doing all of this in your onsite laboratories because ABS is an extension of your laboratories. We are as close as your computer or phone, and just as easy to use. Contact us to see for yourself how easy it can be.

Currently, we are exploring new client portal software to provide real-time information sharing that will make these processes even easier and more collaborative. If you would like to participate or share your input, please let us know. We are always searching for better ways to provide the most effective solutions for our clients.
