Cell Culture

ABS offers a wide range of cell culture services. These include:

Large scale production of adherent cell lines and suspension cell lines for high throughput screening
Cell banking services
Provision of cell membranes and other cell fractions such as mitochondria and cell nuclei
Adaption of adherent cells to suspension cell culture.
Primary human and animal cell cultures, including tumor cells
Mycoplasma testing

Frozen cells can be banked and shipped to you in large quantities as needed. We also have the ability to provide frozen cells that are ready to use in microtiter plates for your cell based assays. We can also provide fresh cells to many locations.

With any cell culture or cell banking order, your cells are tested for Mycoplasma upon receipt at ABS and again prior to shipment to you at no additional cost. Mycoplasma testing is also available for a fee, if you do not use our other cell culture services or cell banking services.

ABS also offers a range of Baculovirus infections and insect cell culture services.

In addition to our cell culture services, we can run cell based assays for compound screening at ABS. These cell based assays include cell toxicity and cell proliferation assays.
